SEXISM AND AUTISM

Autistic women suffer more sexism than normal women. We get misled, Exploited and belittled. I was not taught to read male body language. I was unaware this older man was flirting with me at eighteen because I had not read him right. I had mistaken his flirtation for friendliness. That is just one gripe, another is the misconceptions that I am stupid. It is one thing to be a stupid man,but a stupid woman is perilous in the workplace. Sexists perceive all women as stupid but an autistic woman in particular incurs their wrath. A stupid man might get pity,but a stupid woman is good for nothing. I don’t date, raise kids, cook i.e I am no carer because I am stupid and useless thinks the sexists. Normal women are tolerated by the sexists they care for. There is no tolerance for the woman who has deviated from the feminine role because she is to stupid to perform female tasks. I tell you it is no fun being the stupid woman in a sexist world. The sexist ridicule barely conceals the hatred for my kind lurking beneath the sexist banter. Ahhh! You even get sexist women trying to use disabled women. My narcissist neighbour turned a disabled neighbour into her flying monkey. In other words she was using the girl as an informer or grass. When the girl couldn’t get information for her she soon dropped her. Ouch!
